Make Your way to R Street
The R Street Corridor has invested in infrastructure improvements that support all modes of transportation- including walking, biking, and public transit. You won’t find many standard bike racks along this district; custom bike racks are featured throughout the Corridor and double as works of art. Light rail runs along most of the Corridor with four stations serving the area. The most heavily used station, at 16th and R Street, features new shelters, access ramps, passenger informational signs, artwork and upgraded lighting. If you are arriving by auto then have no fear, parking is bountiful on R Street with both on and off street options. No matter how you get there, be sure to take advantage of this walkable Corridor and discover what R Street is all about.

Light Rail on R Street
The Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT) has undergone a historic transformation to optimize service and implement innovative mobility options to bring greater value to the Sacramento region. Through a clear vision, renewed strategic plan and data-driven approach, and bold business optimization initiatives, SacRT has improved service delivery, restored fiscal stability, attracted new and returning riders and delivered a clean, safe and convenient bus, light rail and paratransit service for residents and businesses within a 440-square mile area.
Within the R Street corridor, SacRT has two convenient light rail stations (13th Street Station and 16th Street Station) that are served by three light rail lines (Blue, Gold and Green lines) as well as multiple downtown bus routes that serve the area seven days a week.
